The hit British TV series Dr.Who has landed the Tardis in Gloucester today to start a week long filming session for the 2008 Christmas special. Staring David Tennant, Catherine Tate and Bille Piper, the cast has hit upon Gloucester Cathedral with a massive public following.

What’s Dr.Who got up his Jacket?

One of the favourite story lines, the Cybermen is set to be the storyline for the 2008 Christmas Special, set at various locations within the Historic City of Gloucester. Filming started today within the grounds of Gloucester Cathedral, famous not only for its extreme beauty, but also for its strong connections with the Harry Potter films! Word spread like wild fire of David Tennants appearance in the City, who arrived via a Gloucester Taxi Service at around 15.00hrs.

By 17.00 hrs the grounds of Gloucester Cathedral was full, with local Police keeping the public back as shots were filmed amongst clouds of artificial snow, giving a seasonal theme for the Christmas 2008 showing of this highly popular BBC tv show.

David Tennant left the Cathedral area of the City around 19.00hrs, to book in to a Gloucester Hotel, where he is thought to be staying this week.
